ASHVIN DE VOS
Ashvin de Vos is the founder & Director of Variant Office. Having completed his qualifications at the Glasgow School of Art and the London Met, he has worked in a variety of award-winning Practices in Scotland, London & Sri Lanka, focusing on housing & Community projects. As an Associate at Erect Architecture, he delivered the Community building in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
He is excited by the close conversations that develop between designers, clients and stakeholders on any project and set up Variant Office to explore this in a more intimate manner with private clients.
His experience gives him a good understanding of how to build cost-effectively and he continually strives for the best value for money for his clients.
Having spent many years living and working in Sri Lanka, he believes there is a greater relevance for tropical architectural solutions for temperate spaces, from the nuances of broken plan living to improving how homes might perform better in rising summer temperatures.
