The new showroom for Ecovia in Battersea was built on the site of an old scrap metal dealership, untouched since the 50s.

Our proposal refurbished and extended the space to create a finely crafted showroom & design studio for Ecovia’s high end glazing products. A well insulated envelope, with climate control via air source heat pump & MVHR ensures a good work environment for the users.

The showroom was designed around Ecovia’s Sales process. Upon arrival, one sits in the lounge sipping a cup of tea, noticing how well the triple glazing buffers the noise of the busy street.

At the presentation, one peruses the product options walking through the steel monoliths to experience the seamless connection between outside and in. The suspended steel screen & daylight box define this edge.

Meanwhile, a design discussion takes place in the meeting room, revealed & reflected through the subtle tints of the reflective glass. Step through to the rear, drawn to the large glazed sliding panels and the verdant green wall. A calm well-lit space, where the working hub of Ecovia resides.

“ The vision of the VO design team to see from our wreck of a shell what could one day be a sublime example of architecture still astounds me today. I can’t believe what they have transformed our space into, I keep discovering new and beautiful details even after a year of being in the space. I can’t recommend the VO team highly enough, a true team of artists.”
